Live Well with Diabetes is a 6-week workshop for individuals with Diabetes and/or their caregivers. Participants will learn how to manage Diabetes using tools and resources learned in the workshop. During each 2.5 hour session, participants will learn Action Planning, Decision Making, and Problem Solving. Topics covered include nutrition and menu planning, physical activity, proper foot care, blood sugar control, and how to deal with stress and emotions. Originally developed at Stanford University, this evidence-based program is beneficial in helping individuals take control of their diabetes.
Workshops take place on Mondays from 1:00pm – 3:30pm beginning on May 13th. No class on Memorial Day, May 27th.
