Facilitated small group discussions between younger and older LGBT adults and allies will begin with icebreaker questions and focus on developing rapport. Topics for subsequent sessions will be based on participant interest and may include ageism, relationships, community, and identity and language.
The W.I.S.E. program (Working together: Intergenerational Student/senior Exchange) was developed by Central CT State University Professor Carrie Andreoletti to foster connection and understanding between younger and older adults. This program is presented in collaboration with CCSU’s LGBT Center.
The LGBT Moveable Senior Center is a partnership among Senior Centers to provide a welcoming pathway for the LGBT senior community to Senior Centers and their programs and resources. The MSC program focuses on health, social connections, engagement of LGBT seniors.
